According to the evidence that appears, it is inscribed that Wat Khao Phra Thong was built since the early Sriwichai period. or in the era of the king Phra Chao Si Thammasokrat and King Chanthaphanusrithammarat. It is an old temple that is around 800 years old. There are 29 golden Buddha images which are enshrined around mountains on the east side; they are stucco Buddha image made of lime mixed with sugar cane honey and rubber oil. The internal structure is entirely made of hardwood. Although more than 20 are still in perfect condition, and about 40-50 are merely remains.
